Betoptic S Eye Drops

How is this medication used?

Before using Betoptic S Eye Drops, wash your hands thoroughly. Shake the bottle well before each use. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and apply the prescribed number of drops in the eye. Gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes without blinking. If you are using another kind of eye medication, wait at least 10 minutes before applying it.

What are the possible side effects?

Common side effects include temporary discomfort/itching/redness of the eye, blurred vision, feeling as if something is in the eye, dry eyes, increased tear production, and sensitivity to light. Serious side effects include swelling/pain of the eye, persistent vision changes, and signs of eye infection (e.g., redness, swelling, severe discomfort, discharge).

What are the potential interactions?

Inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal products. Betoptic S Eye Drops can interact with oral beta-blockers, certain high blood pressure medications, and drugs affecting the enzyme cytochrome P450. Avoid using other eye medications unless your doctor tells you to.
