How is this medication used?

Apply the patch to a clean, dry, and less hairy area of your lower abdomen or buttocks. Avoid applying it on or near the breasts. Change the patch as directed by your healthcare provider, usually once or twice a week. Do not apply lotions, creams, or powders on the area where the patch will be placed.

What are the possible side effects?

Possible side effects include skin irritation at the site of application, headache, breast pain, nausea, weight changes, and abdominal pain. Notify your doctor if you experience severe side effects such as unusual vaginal bleeding, mood changes, or signs of blood clots.

What are the potential interactions?

Estradiol patches may interact with certain medications such as blood thinners, thyroid medications, insulin or oral diabetes medications, and some herbal products. It's important to inform your healthcare provider about all medications and supplements you are taking.
