How is this medication used?
Take this medication by mouth, usually once a day or as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. If you are taking the suspension form of this medication, shake the bottle well before each dose.

Common side effects include cough, dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, and diarrhea. Serious side effects may include swelling of the face, mouth, throat, high potassium levels, liver problems, and severe allergic reactions.

Prinivil can interact with potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium, diuretics (sometimes called 'water pills'), lithium, gold injections, NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen, naproxen), and other medications that increase blood pressure or affect kidney function.
