Zoryve
Zoryve (roflumilast) cream is a steroid-free topical PDE-4 inhibitor used to treat plaque psoriasis, including in skin fold areas, in adults and children. It works by reducing inflammation in the skin, relieving redness, scaling, and itching without the side effects associated with topical steroids.
How is this medication used?
Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected areas once daily and rub in completely. Wash your hands after application unless the hands are being treated. It can be used on sensitive areas such as the face and skin folds; continue use as directed by your doctor.
What are the possible side effects?
Common side effects include diarrhea, headache, insomnia, nausea, and application site pain or irritation. Side effects are generally mild since the medication is applied to the skin.
What are the potential interactions?
Systemic absorption is low, but strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole) or dual CYP3A4/1A2 inhibitors (such as fluvoxamine) could increase roflumilast levels. Tell your doctor about all medications you use, including other topical products.
